MOORESTOWN COMMUNITY HOUSE WEDDING
MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY
Gina & Spencer
I met this amazing couple last year when they were looking for a wedding photographer for their big day.
I’m not even sure where to begin telling you about this couple, because Gina and Spencer are such amazing humans and some of my favorite people ever. They are ridiculously adorable, so much in love, made for each other, oh and they are also beautiful and ridiculously photogenic!
Spencer and Gina had their gorgeous late fall wedding at the Moorestown Community House in Moorestown, New Jersey. It is almost impossible for me to not share every single photo, but it IS a blog post, so I have to keep it limited.
This was not my first time at Moorestown Community House for a wedding and it is ALWAYS an overwhelmingly great experience. The staff was so friendly, welcoming, and the entire property was BEAUTIFUL. They have a STUNNING bridal suite that overlooks the front of property that has beautiful large windows that floods in natural light, lots of white furniture with beautiful wallpaper- a bridal suite dream! The Moorestown Community House is nestled right on the main street in Moorestown, a beautiful historic town in Southern New Jersey.
They spent the morning getting ready with their closest of family and friends on the property at the Moorestown Community House.
Since the wedding was in the late fall, they wanted to take advantage of doing a first look so they could get natural light portraits during the day. Spencer and Gina shared a love filled first look outside on the property. The moment Spencer turned around, he let out a huge “you are so beautiful” in between sobbing happy tears looking at his new to be bride. Im not going to lie, I was TOTALLY crying behind my camera for this one. The emotion was SO real and strong, you could just see it all over their faces.
They shared their vows at their local family church in Haddonfield, New Jersey. The moment Spencer saw Gina coming down the isle, happy tears all over again. I just LOVE when people just live their wedding day with no holding back and let me document all of the raw and real emotions.
They danced the night away in the ballroom with their family and friends. And when I mean, DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY, oh boy did they ever! The music was going and everyone partying ALL night long in the Moorestown Community House ballroom.
It was a wonderful day and we are so happy for these two! Spencer and Gina, congratulations on your wedding!! I’m so excited for you two to begin your new life together and we’re so honored to have captured it! Enjoy just a few of my favorites of the day!
Spencer and Gina: You two are truly made for each other, and it’s so very clear. All that were present for the wedding witnessed pure love and devotion from two of the sweetest people on the planet. It was SUCH an incredible honor to document your special day. I loved being a part of your wedding day at Moorestown Community House and being there to capture it all! Thank you for making me feel so welcomed , loved and a part of the family. – Heather
How They Met:
It all started on November 8, 2014. Much like the beginning of any cheesy romance movie, Spencer and Gina had their own plans for going to the bar the night they met. Separate reasons brought each of them to the bar that night; Gina was reconnecting with an old friend and Spencer was catching up with a long-time pal. They were even sitting at the same long table, paying each other no mind, when a mutual friend unknowingly connected them.
They exchanged glances, then names, then numbers, but Spencer was a bit drunk and Gina was preoccupied with graduating college in a month. So that night, they reluctantly went their separate ways and didn't speak again for months.
Halfway through the month of June, Gina got a text from someone named Spencer, whose number was strangely already added in her phone. It took a minute for Spencer to reintroduce himself and for Gina to put the pieces together. They started to talk and hit it off so well that they scheduled a date for a week later. They had two dates in two days and Spencer was compelled to ask Gina to be his girlfriend. Crazily enough, Gina said yes!
For the next ten months, their relationship moved faster than they, or anyone, expected. Gina told Spencer the only way she would consider sharing a mortgage with him, is if he promised they would get married. He did promise, so they bought the house and she happily waited.
The Proposal:
On May 27, 2018, Spencer asked Gina to take a stroll on the beach in Ocean City, Gina's favorite place. As they reached the water, to Gina's surprise, Spencer got down on one knee and proposed. Of course Gina said yes! They immediately told their family and closest friends, but otherwise kept the secret safe for a week so they could quietly enjoy the first days of their engagement.
The Wedding:
They picked November 9, 2019 as their wedding date, but it wasn't until just before the wedding when they learned exactly what day they had met. So, five years and one day after meeting in their local bar, they exchanged rings and vows, had the party of a lifetime and brought the after-party back to the bar where it all started. And this time, at the end of the night, they left hand-in-hand to start their new life together.
